Pastor Paul Armstrong grew up in Pace, Florida where he was saved at the age of 11. The Lord called him to preach, and he surrendered to the ministry at age 19. After completing seminary at Gulf Coast Baptist Institute in Hattiesburg, MS, he began pastoring in Verbena, AL in 1995. He married Amy Breland, the love of his life, from Perkinston, MS in May of 1997. Pastor Paul and Amy have 3 grown children: Emily, Hannah, and Brady. He pastored in Orlando, FL and was called by God to start a mission church in Calera in 2006. The Armstrongs have been blessed to see Journey grow from just their family meeting in their living room to today’s congregation which meets at their current location at 100 Aviators View Drive. Pastor Paul strongly believes that a church should be a family environment where people care and encourage one another to know, live and serve the Lord…and that is Journey!
